
(I haven't watched enough to know for certain, so please correct me, but I've seen people simply select improvements based upon the terrain of their region for example). And building looks to me (from the clips I've seen) to be a straightforward process of choosing which buffs to go for, sometimes determined by terrain. What do people think of the 4x/strategic part of the game? I know that unlike in Civ, you select pre-determined regions to settle instead of making the difficult choice of which tile to settle.
